Feminist Frequency - Tropes vs. Women: #1 The Manic Pixie Dream Girl

I love Feminist Frequency so much and it influences a lot of my writing…But there has always been something off in this video to me. Like…I don’t know…

Clementine from Eternal Sunshine might fit some of what people think of as the type, but the character as written is pretty much the anti-MPDG. She even says something to that effect, the “not a concept” thing.

Garden State and 500 Days and Elizabethtown are all guilty as fuck though.
