Anonymous asked: To assure you that I am not a hater - I want to start off by saying that you are a talented dude AND a smart guy -- but why do you alienate people with your painfully one sided opinions? I know you don't "care" about people on the internet because they're not really friends or whatever, but I know several people who have unfollowed because you're just overbearing sometimes.
What constitutes a “one-sided opinion”? I don’t just spout things off without proper due diligence. I read all the time, about everything, and most if not all of what I say has been carefully thought about and codified and pondered upon. I don’t just go, “Oh, Romney is a Republican, so fuck him” or what have you.
And people following me or not following me is not anything I concern myself with. I like the people who talk to me, and I’d hope they at least tolerate me. If you don’t, what’s the point in trying to cater to you? No one is going to be pleased with 100% of anyone’s opinions, and I use twitter as a steam-release valve of sorts, getting out most of my weirdness and such so that I don’t just go “radda radda radda RADDA RADDA RADDA” at everyone all the time in “real life.”
Pretty much what I’M asking is, what have I said that you’d consider to be alienating in a way beyond “this is my opinion, and I can back it up with facts and string and iodine and a note from Wil Wheaton”?
